Making soda and sparkling water at home isn’t a novel idea, but SodaStream is an industry leader, providing the carbonator-equipped appliance needed to make your DIY beverage. “Customization is a key part of our product portfolio ethos,” says Daniel Birnbaum, CEO of the Israel-based company. This philosophy now applies to the machine itself with SodaStream Play, the company’s latest collaboration with sustainability-minded designer Yves Béhar. There are six brightly coloured options to choose from, and the two-part design makes the colours interchangeable to fit the decor of any living space. Play launched at the London Design Festival in September and will be available in stores mid-2014.
