IN NUVO

Today, on the first day of Watches and Wonders, the Swiss king of watchmaking announced their time tellers for the year. And for one particular model, there has been plenty of polarizing chatter.

The Swiss giant that is Rolex threw a curveball at Watches and Wonders this year. On opening day of the watch fair in Geneva, Rolex showed off a new GMT-Master II—an icon in the Rolex repertoire, best known for its two-tone bezels (and the nicknames they inspire).

With the Rolex novelties presentation now online as a part of the Watches and Wonders digital platform, the thought was, might the website crash?

This year, the is-it-on or is-it-not-on Baselworld (the show was cancelled and has since been transformed) coupled with the pandemic delayed the release of the Rolex novelties for 2020.
