Moe’s Home Collection

Borough basics.

In the world of home decor, some retailers offer a streamlined brand, carrying or crafting furniture that follows and appeases a single design philosophy. Moe’s Home Collection is not one of those stores. Founded by Moe Samieian Sr. over 20 years ago, the Vancouver-based furniture design house holds a smorgasbord of interior inspiration, showcasing its own designs alongside specialized international brands; think ethically-inclined woodwork by Belgian label Ethnicraft, or New York–based woven textile designers Chilewich.

Moe’s in-house designs are just as eclectic as the array of brands in their retail space, offering decorative art, minimalist furniture, and entire collections. One such collection is the Brooklyn, comprised of an arsenal of chairs, bars, tables, and a full bedroom suite. Brooklyn’s numerous bookshelves, for example, have a raw-yet-refined look, with shelves made from acacia wood, known for its distinct contrasting grain pattern, and reinforced by steel hardware. Those materials largely define the Brooklyn collection, which fittingly shows off the industrial aesthetic and rugged durability of the borough that inspired it.
