What’s New in Auto

Pagani, Cadillac, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari.

It has been an interesting year for the auto industry: luxury brands are entering the SUV market—currently the fastest growing segment across the world—with additions like the Maserati Levante and the Bentley Bentaygaelectric vehicle technology is becoming more affordable, and BMW is celebrating its centennial. In the luxury market, brands are surprising enthusiasts with engineering feats, handmade or custom-built supercars, and reintroducing new renditions of favourite classics from decades past. There’s the Italian-made Pagani Huayra, handcrafted hypercar that’s now among the most desired (and most expensive) on the planet; there’s the 2017 Cadillac CT6, which has earned accolades, not necessarily for its opulence (although the interiors are among the best in the business) but rather for its engineering; and there’s the reinvented BMW 7 Series, the sixth generation of the brand’s flagship sedan and the brainchild of head of design Karim Habib. Not to mention the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxter S, an anomaly for the brand, and Ferrari’s GTC4 Lusso, a surprisingly practical car that repels the recent trend of increasingly more upscale luxury SUVs.

Whatever your speed—you’ll find what you need.
