Cats & Plants

Indoor plants, coffee table books, liverwurst pink, cats… for a certain breed of millennial urban domestic, these are components of an ideal apartment life. The alt-Pinterest aesthetic has been remastered by Chicago-based artist Stephen Eichhorn in his recent book of collages—Cats & Plants, from independent publisher Zioxla. In the 200-image book, cats peek out from behind cacti or cast glances from inside the hollows of seashells; they wear jasmine around their eyes and succulents on their heads. It is amusing to the extreme—and for those who adore felines, foliage, and quirk, a chic and funny gift for the home.
